Troy Mathews has been named General Manager at Hotel Contessa

Benchmark Hospitality International®, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, has named Troy Mathews general manager for Hotel Contessa. Greg Champion, executive vice president and chief operations officer for Benchmark Hospitality, made the announcement. Hotel Contessa is a Benchmark Resort located alongside the famed Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. A 20-year hotel industry veteran, Troy Mathews previously served as general manager for the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, located on the Caribbean island of Curacao. Prior to this appointment he was general manager of Hotel Arista near Chicago, where he began employment as food & beverage director. For many years, Mr. Mathews served in positions of increasing responsibility for luxury hotels and resorts throughout the state of Texas. He is a graduate of Aims Community College of Greeley, Colorado. Mr. Mathews resides in Austin.
