Marco Vazzoler has been appointed General Manager of Jing An Shangri-La, West Shanghai, moving to Shanghai from his previous appointment as General Manager of Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa, Cebu. Mr Vazzoler’s career in hospitality has brought him around the world from Europe, South and North America to Asia. He has over thirty years of experience in hotel management, holding executive level positions at Hotel Hilton Milano, Four Seasons Hotel Milano and Four Seasons Hotel Chicago before joining the Shangri-La family at Shangri-La Hotel Wuhan, Pudong Shangri-La East Shanghai, Shangri-La Hotel Dalian, Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel Tainan and Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa, Cebu. Born and raised in Milan – the fashion capital of Italy, Mr Vazzoler naturally has a passion for fashion and design. Besides the aesthetics, he is also passionate about food and cooking. When he has time to read, he indulges in reading history and adventure books. Mr Vazzoler is active in sports and is a black belt in Judo.
