Eastin Hotel Ahmedabad is pleased to announce the appointment of Ram Kumar Rana as the Head Chef of The Silk Road Restaurant. Having served in various hospitality positions, Chef Ram Kumar Rana is a seasoned culinary professional bringing over 14 years of experience.
His culinary achievements will bring a new dimension to the hotel’s signature restaurant, and catering facilities. A graduate of the prestigious Mumbai College of Hotel Management, he began his culinary career at Hotel Bangalore International.
Prior to joining Eastin Hotel Ahmedabad, he was associated with Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotels as Junior Sous Chef of the hotel and Head Chef of Pan Asia restaurant. He has also worked with premium hospitality brands like ITC Hotels, JW Hotels by Marriott Group, Roads an Ecotel Hotel, etc.
In his current role, he will be responsible in preparing menus and daily specials as required, planning food festivals for The Silk Road with other responsibilities. His experienced skills lie in Japanese, Oriental Chinese, Thai, Malay, Korean, Japanese Teppan, etc. He wields and crafts out some magical sushis and sashimi’s, and whips up some finger-lickingly delicious Japanese offerings, mesmerising all.
He has successfully managed to host some interesting festivals such as Korean Food Festival, Dim Sum food festival, World’s Thai Dinner etc.
Chef Ram Kumar Rana has participated in numerous international and regional cross-exposure training stints and competitions where his culinary flair continues to be recognised with awards such as the Nestle Young Star Chef in 2006.
