Elements of Byron (a member of AccorHotels MGallery Collection), Australia’s newest world class beachfront resort, has lured forward thinking young hotelier David Jones home to our shores after six years living and working overseas. David was recently appointed to the Sales and Marketing Manager position at the $100 million resort, which is promising to showcase the best of the Byron region through bespoke offerings throughout the 50 acre property. He has served at executive committee level in some of the world’s largest and most dynamic hospitality management companies including IHG, Hyatt and Andre Balazs Properties. His hospitality career spans the past 19 years – a combination of eight years in operations and eleven in strategic management, having operated hotels across multiple sectors including luxury, boutique, mid-scale and resort. David also has a proven track record across a number of gateway cities in strategically positioning hotels to ‘outperform’ across major indicators. Raised and educated on the Gold Coast, he holds a Bachelor of Business with a marketing major. David Jones is looking forward to drawing on his professional experience to shape the success of Elements of Byron and also contribute to the Byron region in general. “The opportunity to contribute to the Byron Bay visitor experience while immersing myself in the coastal culture was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down” he said.
