Sonya Thayer has been appointed as Director of Accounts at Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa

Noble House Hotels & Resorts – a collection of luxury hotels and resorts – is pleased to announce the appointment of Sonya Thayer as Director of Accounts to Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa, located in the majestic red rock canyons of western Colorado. Bringing more than 16 years of hospitality sales experience to the position, Thayer will be instrumental in engineering the resort’s growth, leading the exploration of new management and acquisition opportunities, as well as establishing and developing the brand’s continuous expansion. Over the span of her career, Thayer has successfully proven her ability to surpass revenue goals and grow internal and external client relationships. Prior to joining Noble House Hotels & Resorts, Thayer served as account director at Starwood Hotels & Resorts of Maui, Lahaina, Hawaii since 2012 and was accountable for exceeding revenue goals for three oceanfront properties: The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas and Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa – achieving 131 percent of a $4.8 million revenue goal in 2014. In 2008, Thayer served as senior sales manager at The St. Regis Aspen in Colorado where she was ranked a Top 5 Producer within the West Coast Region for Starwood Hotels & Resorts by achieving 125 percent of a $1.5 million revenue goal. Thayer cultivated her skills in other notable positions, including senior sales manager of The Ritz-Carlton in Avon, Colorado, The Ritz-Carlton in Maui and The Westin Maui, as well as national sales manager for both The Princeville Resort in Kauai, Hawaii and The St. Regis Aspen in Colorado.
