Elly Lamp has been appointed as Sales Manager at The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel

The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel, the #1 hotel in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska, today announced the addition of Elly Lamp as sales manager. Lamp will be responsible for leading sales strategies and initiatives for the hotel, managing all group room bookings and business accounts, and maximizing all revenue streams. She will focus on maintaining relationships with local colleges and universities and serve as a resource for staff and administrators at higher learning institutions in the Lincoln area. Lamp brings over nine years of hospitality experience to The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel. Most recently, she served as sales manager for John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts in Lincoln. Prior to that position, she worked as convention services manager for The Hotel at Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she was responsible for event planning, sales bookings and maintaining corporate relationships for the AAA Four-Diamond property. Lamp has served in other sales and event planning roles at the Kingsgate Marriott in Cincinnati, Ohio, The Charles F. Knight Executive Education Center in St. Louis, Mo. and Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Lamp graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She recently served as vice president of the Lincoln Lodging Association and is certified in Marriott Green Meetings, Event Operations, Wedding Planning, Food Allergens and Event Planning.
