Fairmont St Andrews has appointed Stewart Elder as director of banqueting and events at Scotland’s five-star resort. Having worked at the hotel since 2009, Stewart takes on the new role from his previous position as director of group sales. Reporting directly to the general manager, Stewart will oversee the day to day running of the events team and ensure the smooth operation of conference and banqueting throughout the hotel. Moving forward Stewart will use his sales experience to play an integral part within the events and banquet teams ensuring all Fairmont standards and processes are met. The role will also see him continue to facilitate site and FAM trips, and provide consistency through the entire sales and event process.
