Arturo Eduardo Avila Zarraga has been appointed as Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director at Viceroy Zihuatanejo

Viceroy Zihuatanejo, the chic resort on Mexico’s Pacific coast, has appointed Arturo Eduardo Avila Zarraga to the dual position of Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director, announced General Manager Martin Kipping. Chef Avila comes to the Viceroy Zihuatanejo with more than 15 years of experience at exclusive hotels, private clubs and cruise lines. Prior to joining the team at Viceroy Zihuatanejo, Chef Avila, a native of Mexico, was the executive chef of a luxury boutique property in Guanajuato, Mexico, the Hotel Ecce Inn. His past experience includes executive positions with Lyford Cay Club, Nassau, Bahamas; M.S. Westerdam, Holland America Cruise Line; Allure of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International; St. Regis Hotel, Mexico City, and Four Seasons Hotel, Mexico City. He earned a ‘Certified Chef de Cuisine’ designation from the American Culinary Federation.
