Ishma Edwards has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina

Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, BVI recently appointed three industry veterans to fill key director-level positions at the resort – general manager, executive chef and director of human resources. Born in the British Virgin Islands, Ishma Edwards is the resort’s new director of human resources. She will supervise and provide consultation on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget and labor relations for the resort’s 140 on- and off-island staff. With more than a decade of labor experience in the BVI, Edwards came to Scrub Island Resort from the British Virgin Islands Department of Labour, where she worked as senior labor officer. During her time at the government department, she participated in job fairs, assisted in resume writing and assessed BVIslanders (Belongers) skills to place them in applicable jobs.
