Andrew Turner has been appointed managing director of Rosewood Phuket, which will open the first quarter of 2017 as the first Asia resort for ultra-luxury Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and also mark the brand’s entry into Thailand. An Australian native, Mr. Turner has 22 years experience managing both city hotels and resorts in Thailand, Australia, China, Egypt, Ireland, Qatar and the U.S. For 10 years prior to joining Rosewood, he held hotel general manager positions, most recently at Baccarat Hotel & Residences in New York, as well as at Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas; Anantara Sanya Resort; Lough Eske Castle of Capella Hotel Group; and The Ritz-Carlton, Sharm El Sheikh. Previously he worked in a number of The Ritz-Carlton hotels as hotel manager and executive assistant manager of rooms.
