Today, Sonesta announced that Hugh Chandler has been named the General Manager of the Sonesta ES Suites in Columbia, MD. In this role, Chandler will be tasked with overseeing the daily operational activities of the property and its staff. Working across teams, Chandler will be instrumental in maintaining employee engagement, driving revenue and sales and ensuring that Sonesta ES Suites in Columbia provides guests with more than just a place to stay. Chandler brings over 15 years of hospitality industry experience to Sonesta. Throughout his career, he has supported various properties within the Marriott, Hyatt and Hilton brands. Most recently, he served as the General Manager for AC Hotels by Marriott in Kansas City, MO in which he was responsible for opening the brand’s second hotel in the U.S. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
