Richard A. Holtzman, vice president, managing director at Montage Kapalua Bay, has announced the appointment of Anthony Freda as resort manager; bringing with him nearly 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. With a track record for success, Freda is known as a well-respected hospitality executive throughout the market in Hawaii. Prior to joining Montage Kapalua Bay, he served as director of rooms at The Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu where he oversaw day-to-day operations of the luxury resort, including supervising guest services, reservations, activities and the VIP program. Previously, he was director of food & beverage at The Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui, and Four Seasons properties in Lana’i, New York, Atlanta, and Miami. Freda also spent two years managing The Kapalua Bay Villas next to Montage Kapalua Bay.Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Freda studied business administration at Brookdale Community College in Middletown, New Jersey, and earned certifications as a hotel administrator and food and beverage executive from the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
