The Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel announces the appointment of Glenn Sampert as general manager of the Beacon Hill property. Sampert’s duties will include leading the hotel’s strategic direction, project management and owner relations; he will also oversee operations of the 298-room luxury hotel, including rooms, restaurants and bars, property operations and special events, including the hotel’s signature ‘Liberty Affairs’ programming. “The Liberty Hotel has been an innovator in the Boston hotel market since it broke ground in 2007, and it is an honor to join this team,” Sampert stated. “The hotel combines luxury with an energetic social experience in a truly unique way. Combined with the recent $11 million guest room renovation, there is simply no hotel in Boston that compares, and I am excited to join the hotel’s excellent team of associates and become a part of the Beacon Hill community.” Prior to joining The Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Sampert served as the general manager of the AAA Four Diamond Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa in Tucson, Arizona. Sampert served as President of the Southern Arizona Lodging & Resort Association, and was a board member of the United Way of Tucson & Southern Arizona. Sampert is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the British Columbian Institute of Technology in hospitality and tourism administration. He relocated to the Boston area with his wife, Kathy, and enjoys running and Crossfit.
