Charlotte Horler, the 2016 Acorn Scholar, has been appointed front of house manager at the Red Carnation Hotel Collection’s Montague on the Gardens. She will join the four-silver-AA-star, 100-bedroom hotel in Bloomsbury, London on 17 October, from her current position as operations manager at the four-AA-star, 72-bedroom Billesley Manor hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. Following discussions with Jo Harley, director of Purple Cubed, and Sean Wheeler, director of people development, Starwood Capital, City Hotel Division – the two mentors she met through her success on winning the 14th Acorn Scholarship in November 2015 – Horler decided to approach Red Carnation to talk about career opportunities.
