Samantha Fulton has been appointed as General Manager at Ace Hotel London Shoreditch

Samantha Fulton, former hotel manager at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Shard, has been appointed general manager of the Ace Hotel London Shoreditch. She has replaced Chris Penn, who left the 258-bedroom hotel last month. Penn, who intends to create a business in what he describes as “a new and unique space in the hotel industry”, is currently looking to secure a property and investment. Having spent much of her career working in the Netherlands and South Africa, Fulton arrived in London in August 2015 to join the Shangri-La. Her immediate previous role was as general manager at the Cour Jardin Business Bay in Dubai. Fulton, who achieved a MBA from the University of Liverpool in 2013, has earlier worked with Steigenberger Hotels, AccorHotels and Sun International. Ace Hotel London Shoreditch opened in 2013 as the first international outpost of the US-founded brand which today numbers nine properties
