True North Hotel Group, management company for a new 152-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in Jersey City, N.J. currently under construction, today announced that Darren Piercey and Kathy Mendez have been appointed general manager and director of sales, respectively, for the hotel slated to open late February, 2017. Piercey represents a strong Marriott management background throughout an equally strong 19-year hospitality career. He has opened three Marriott-branded hotels, two of which were Residence Inns, and managed hotels in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island City before joining True North Hotel Group. Piercey holds a prestigious Sales Excellence Award from Marriott.
