Stefano Venturi has been appointed as General Manager at Villa La Massa

Villa d’Este Hotels has announced the appointment of Stefano Venturi as General Manager of its Florentine hotel, Villa La Massa. Venturi has over 30 years’ experience in the luxury hospitality sector, working at some of the world’s leading hotels in both Italy and the UK. After completing his studies in Tourism in Florence and undertaking an Executive MBA in Tourism Management in Switzerland, Venturi began his hospitality career in the UK. Venturi worked front of house at the Intercontinental Hotel, then at Claridge’s and finally at the Grosvenor House Hotel, where he stayed for a few years, before moving back to his native Italy. Venturi continued his career in Florence, Italy where he worked for The Westin Excelsior Florence & Grand Hotel for almost ten years. During this time, Venturi undertook various positions from Reservation and Room Revenue to Rooms Divison and also became part of the Executive Committee accountable for innovative process improvements. In 2004, Venturi became Area General Manager for the STB Group, a collection of three Spa Resorts, where he coordinated the Sales & Marketing strategy for the group. Soon after, Venturi secured his first role as a General Manager in 2006 at the Hotel D’Inghilterra in Rome. In 2008, Venturi moved back to Florence, taking up the position of General Manager at the Hotel Helvetia & Bristol, also overseeing the running of its sister property, the Grand Hotel Continental in Siena. After ten years, Venuri has now joined the team at Villa La Massa.
