CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa is proud to announce the appointment of David Gauna as the new Area General Manager for Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita and Guadalajara. In his new role, Mr. Gauna will oversee the Westin Puerto Vallarta, Sheraton Buganvilias Resort Puerto Vallarta, St. Regis Punta Mita, W Punta Mita and Westin Guadalajara, while still assuming responsibilities as General Manager for the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort. During his tenure in Puerto Vallarta and under his leadership, the resort team has consistently met and exceeded sales and budget goals. Thanks to Mr. Gauna's efforts, CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta has increased guest satisfaction and overall engagement scores since 2014. Mr. Gauna was recognized in 2015 as General Manager of the year for the CALA Region and was appointed as Business Council Chair for Mexico from 2013-2016. He is a graduate of Instituto Regiomontano de Hoteleria Monterrey, N.L., Mexico with a BBA in Hotel Management and is currently working on his Global MBA from Universidad del Valle de Mexico.
