Keegan Eric Smith has been appointed as Mixologist at Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway
SHERATON GRAND Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway announced the appointment of Mixologist/Flair Bartending Specialist Keegan Smith. An enthusiast and a driven individual, Keegan brings in a wealth of knowledge and experience of 16 years with him to the hotel. He has spent the last 8 years specialising in spirits and mixology, further honing his knowledge and expertise. He will be entrusted to curate exclusive Cocktails & Mocktails at the newly opened restaurant Alfresco by Bene and to join the elite team at High Ultra Lounge to elevate the High experience.
Before joining Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway, he was associated with Bar Hemingways, a Specialist Whisky Bar in South Africa and prior to that held leadership roles at other famed outlets.
His creative genius came to the fore when one of his recent creations "The Nicci" was awarded best cocktail at the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge 2016. Keegan also has three National Flair Bartending titles to his name that further substantiates his position to be one of the very exciting talents in this space. He has trained over 2000 bartenders at over 500 venues with Liquid Concepts, one of his previous employers.
Keegan also runs a not for profit platform, Flair for Life in South Africa that raises funds for people diagnoised with cancer. The competition is aimed at bringing people together, where the cocktails are auctioned and the proceeds breathe in a new lease of life for the cancer patients.
