Claudio Rossi has been appointed as Executive Chef at Conrad Hong Kong

Conrad Hong Kong is pleased to announce the arrival of Claudio Rossi as the hotel's executive chef. Having worked in various countries around the world, Chef Claudio will bring his excellent culinary and management skills to the hotel, as he oversees all its food and beverage outlets and catering services.

Coming from Milan, Italy, Chef Claudio inherits the attuned sense towards food and flavours from his mother, who boasts deep knowledge in cooking. He apprenticed in the fine dining restaurants across the country under such masters as Gualtiero Marchesi and Claudio Sadler, and grew into an accomplished chef in Italian cuisine. His food is guided by the principles of simplicity, quality and consistency. Insisting on seasonal ingredients, Chef Claudio pays close attention to every detail in his cooking, in doing so giving the dishes their own voice to connect with diners.

At the age of 24, Chef Claudio made a decisive move to Asia to continue his quest of understanding culinary cultures around the world. Here he worked in multiple luxury hotel groups, playing a major role in many hotel openings and large-scale events. This not only exposed him to the nuances in different Asian cuisines, he also took the opportunity to widen his professional network. To Chef Claudio, Hong Kong makes for a natural stop of his journey, as it has a dynamic and creative dining scene. The vibrant culture and efficiency of the city epitomises the spirits of Asia.
