Christiaan “Tiaan” Homann has been appointed as Director of Rooms at Doug Pitcock ’49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Christiaan "Tiaan" Homann director of rooms for the Doug Pitcock '49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, currently under construction in College Station, Texas. The Benchmark Resorts & Hotelsproperty is expected to open in August. Greg Stafford, general manager, made the announcement.

Tiaan Homann was previously director of rooms at Benchmark's Eaglewood Resort & Spa located in Chicago, a position he was promoted to following success in conference sales for the property. He has also held positions as front office manager and food & beverage outlet manager for Benchmark at the resort. Earlier he worked in the food & beverage department for Marriott Hotels.

Mr. Homann is a graduate of the University of Johannesburg where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Administration and Management. He is relocating to College Station.
