Karim Schadlou has been appointed as General Manager at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang
Doubletree Resort by Hilton Penang the country's first DoubleTree Resort has appointed Karim Schadlou as the general manager of DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang. Karim most recently served as general manager of Hilton Colombo Residences. He replaces Linda Giebing who has moved to Sri Lanka to oversee Hilton Colombo Residences as General Manager. Karim as the General Manager will support Jamie Mead, Regional General Manager for Malaysia, in overseeing all aspects of the management of hotel's operation.
An 18-year hospitality veteran, Karim began his career with Hilton Worldwide in 2000 and held a number of positions across South East Asia, Europe, China, and the Middle East. Before joining Hilton Colombo Residences, Karim was the Resort Manager at Conrad Rangali Maldives. Prior to that he was Director of Operations for a number of properties including Hilton Colombo, Hilton Singapore, Hilton Iru Fushi Maldives and the then Waldorf Astoria Maldives.
