Portia Hood has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Alexandrian Hotel and Morrison House
Sage Hospitality, one of the country's leading hospitality management, investment, and development companies, today announces the appointment of Portia Hood to Director of Sales & Marketing for the group's newest boutique properties, The Alexandrian Hotel and Morrison House. Both hotels, located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, VA, are part of Marriott's prestigious Autograph Collection.
Portia Hood joins the team as Director of Sales & Marketing where she will oversee and execute all sales and marketing initiatives for both properties. Hood brings over 10 years of experience in the regional and local market working with renowned hospitality brands to drive fiscal goals and develop and execute strategic marketing plans. She is renowned for her management skills, ability to drastically increase profit and secure new business. In addition, her leadership in the community includes volunteering with Alexandria's Carpenters Shelter and being on the board of the West End Business Association.
