Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle Welcomes Back Mike Hill as General Manager. Good things come in threes for Mike Hill. He first joined Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle as an engineer in 2011, returning three years later as the assistant general manager, and now he assumes the role of general manager to kick off 2019. Most recently managing The Grand Hotel in Minneapolis (where he learned the challenges and excitement of being the Super Bowl host city), Mike returns to a rapidly growing Seattle- both in terms of residents and hotel supply. Mike has worked at a number of downtown Seattle properties, in addition to the 189-room Hotel Monaco, and brings nearly 10 years of multi-departmental leadership to the position. His focus is to maintain Hotel Monaco's relevancy and reputation as a best-loved hotel in Seattle, by fostering employee culture, delivering memorable guest experience and managing the on-going profitability of the hotel. But it all starts with keeping the team involved, motivated and engaged. Mike is eager to get back outdoors in the Northwest, hiking and camping with his wife and two kids, but continues to add to his growing record collection in the meantime.
