Alicia Miller has been appointed as Director of Group Sales at Austin Marriott Downtown and JW Marriott Austin
Austin Marriott Downtown, slated to open its doors in Summer 2020, is excited to introduce Alicia Miller as Market Director of Group Sales. In her role, Alicia will be responsible for leading group sales for the Austin Marriott Downtown and JW Marriott Austin. Both properties are owned and operated by White Lodging.
A born-and-bred Texan, Alicia previously worked at the Marriott Marquis Houston as a Senior Sales Executive. After two years in her role covering the Mid-West, West Coast and Texas Association markets, Alicia was recognized as a top producer in the region. This performance earned her a promotion to Director of Group Sales. In this role she has supported the group and catering team to exceed production goals each year, driving the top room revenue in the region.
From assisting with pre-opening sales efforts at the Marriott Marquis Houston through a remarkable opening year, Alicia steered the team through several high-profile industry events, a natural disaster and the historic 2017 Astros World Series win.
