Stephen Dennis has been named General Manager at Odessa Marriott Hotel and Convention Center
Odessa Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, a brand new property set to open in Downtown Odessa in late Summer 2019, has named Stephen Dennis, former general manager of The Stella Hotel, a full-service luxury hotel located in Bryan, TX., as the property's general manager.
Dennis' focus on building award-winning teams, growing guest and employee satisfaction and creating asset value, have become the hallmarks of his 25-year career in hospitality leadership. Most recently at The Stella Hotel, he was tapped to oversee operations at the 176-room property, the City of Bryan's first luxury independent hotel. While there, he assembled a strong leadership team, consistently outpaced the competitive set in RevPar and lead the AAA Four-Diamond property to achieving and number one rating on TripAdvisor. Prior to The Stella Hotel, Dennis served as general manager of the Marriott Salt Lake City University Park an d before that he was a general manager providing regional leadership support for NHH Hotels & Resorts with Crescent Hotels and Resorts for Canyon Capital Advisors. His resume also includes tenures with Megaclose USA Investments, The Dow Hotel Company, Benchmark Hospitality International and Hilton Hotels. As a world traveler, Dennis brings a global hospitality sensibility to his role as the general manager at the Odesa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.
