Matthew La Vine has been appointed as Managing Director at Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City

Sun Hill Properties, Inc. today announced the appointment of Matthew La Vine as Managing Director of the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City.

La Vine, who boasts nearly 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, takes over the helm of the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City, the largest hotel in the San Fernando Valley, from Mark Davis. Davis, recently appointed President and CEO of Sun Hill Properties, Inc., will turn his attention to growing the company's hotel portfolio. In addition to its flagship property, the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City, the company owns and operates The Courtyard by Marriott Ventura/Simi Valley, The TownePlace Suites Denver Southwest, and The TownePlace Suites in Colorado Springs.

La Vine, a native of the San Fernando Valley, comes to the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City from The Miramonte Indian Wells Resort and Spa Curio by Hilton, where he served as general manager overseeing the 215-room four-star resort.

Starting his career nearly 30 years ago, La Vine honed his senior management skills starting at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Los Angeles, Carlsbad, and Toronto, Canada. His general manager assignments include Fess Parker Doubletree Santa Barbara, Edgewater Beach Hotel Naples, and the Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder.
