Alice Curry

American Airlines announced today that Alice Curry has been promoted to Vice President of Customer Care. She succeeds JonCarlo Gulbranson, who was previously named Vice President of Operations and Crew Performance.

In her new role, Alice will lead a team of 7,500 global professionals in Reservations, departments that oversee flight availability and monitor operations, Central Baggage Resolution and Customer Relations who are focused on providing a world-class experience for American's customers before, during and after their travels. She will report to Kerry Philipovitch, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience.

Alice began her career with American in Revenue Management in 1996. She has since held numerous positions in Marketing, aa.com, Distribution and Inflight Dining. Most recently, she served as Managing Director of Customer Loyalty and Insights, where she was responsible for leading American Airlines AAdvantage® program. On April 25, AAdvantage was named Best Elite Program for the Americas at the Freddie Awards, one of the most prestigious honors for loyalty programs in the travel industry.

Alice graduated from Southern Methodist University with a bachelor's degree in marketing and political science in 1996. She received a full merit scholarship to Cornell University, where she earned a Master of Business Administration in 2002. She is an advocate for advancing women in the aviation industry and has partnered with the Forté Foundation to expand American's female leadership pipeline through targeted recruitment efforts.
