Dan Carlino has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Des Moines Downtown

A 32-year hospitality veteran, Carlino began his career as a corporate property systems trainer for Ramada, before joining Red Lion Hotels as front office director, now Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa. Carlino worked his way through the company, as rooms director in San Diego and Glendale, now DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego - Mission Valley and Hilton Los Angeles North/Glendale & Executive Meeting Center, before becoming general manager of Red Lion Hotel Richland Hanford House.

Carlino joined Hilton in 1996, serving as general manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Missoula - Edgewater, where he oversaw hotel operations and the award-winning restaurant, Finn & Porter. Following his time in Montana, Carlino served as task force general manager at the former DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis North, President Abraham Lincoln Springfield - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel andHilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park.

Carlino holds a bachelor's degree in hospitality management from Johnson & Wales College.
