Adam Cheng

Mr. Cheng began his hospitality career as Management Trainee in Eaton Hotel, Hong Kong. He joined Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Nanshan in January 2015, the brand's flagship hotel in Asia Pacific, as General Manager for hotel's pre-opening. The expertise Mr. Cheng demonstrated during daily operations, team-coaching, leadership and customer service has enabled him to be particular about details when it comes to these projects. Under Mr. Cheng's guidance, the hotel managed to generate net operating profit (NOP) in the first full month operation and was awarded the Food & Beverage Operation of the Year and Financial Excellence Award and Hotel of the Year in 2017. Additionally, Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Nanshan ranked first out of 2,800 hotels in the market for 18 consecutive months from 2016 to 2017 on Tripadvisor.

In July 2019, Mr. Cheng had the opportunity to manage two high-profile properties as General Manager of the JW Marriott Hotel Hangzhou and the Courtyard by Marriott Hangzhou Wulin in East China. With Mr. Cheng's extraordinary insights and managerial aptitude, Courtyard by Marriott Hangzhou Wulin completed the renovation of guest rooms, and JW Marriott Hotel Hangzhou enhanced room conditions, becoming one of the best revenue generators in the market. What's more, Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Hangzhou Wulin garnered Tripadvisor 2020 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best in recognition for its attentive service and pleasant experience.
