Stephan Moonen has been appointed as General Manager at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort

With a degree from The Hotel Management School Maastricht in Holland, Stephan has over 15 years of hospitality industry experience.

After graduating, he worked with InterContinental Hotels Group before joining Marriott in the UK in 2011. There, he took on senior leadership roles at the Edinburgh Marriott and the Residence Inn Edinburgh followed by a transfer to London to work at The London Marriott Hotel and Executive Apartments Canary Wharf and then as General Manager of the London Marriott Park Lane.

Stephan joined Minor Hotels Group earlier this year when he was appointed GM of the Avani+ Khao Lak Resort near Phuket in southern Thailand.

Stephan Moonen is an alumnus of Hotel Management School Maastricht – Class of 2008.
