Octavio Calderin has been appointed as Finance and Accounting Director at Kempinski Hotel Bahia

Kempinski Hotels announces the appointment of Octavio Calderín as the new finance and accounting director, who will be in charge of supervising the day-to-day financial operations at Kempinski Hotel Bahía.

Octavio Calderin

He brings more than 15 years of hotel operations experience to his new role, and we are confident that he will be a valuable addition to the executive team as we continue to deliver sustained profitable growth.

Octavio has passed through the ranks of Sheraton in Zurich and The Ritz-Carlton in Budapest and Tenerife, in addition to a wide portfolio of hotels and resorts since its inception, on its native island of Tenerife. His extensive experience in hotel finance, from overseeing all financial aspects to driving financial strategy and planning, will be the key to directing the hotel's financial performance, as well as identifying potential opportunities or risks.

In 2012, he landed the position of Chief Financial Officer at The Ritz-Carlton in Tenerife. Years later, with The Ritz-Carlton, he moved to Budapest as head of the finance team for three years. His haunting ambition and learning led him to Zurich, assuming responsibility for two hotel properties, Sheraton Zürich Hotel and Sheraton Zürich Neues Schloss.

Octavio complements our strong performance-oriented DNA, and his impressive reputation for results makes him the right choice to lead our finance team.
