Todd Iacono has been appointed as General Manager at W Scottsdale

W Scottsdale announced today the appointment of Todd Iacono as General Manager. Iacono steps into the role with significant experience earned at some of the most innovative lifestyle hotel brands in the industry. He replaces the previous general manager of W Scottsdale, David Cronin, who accepted a role at W Nashville in late 2020.

Todd Iacono

Before taking the helm at W Scottsdale, Iacono served as COO of True North Studio Hospitality division, where he worked closely with owners and investors to develop new assets to invigorate markets like the Downtown Phoenix Arts District. Iacono's background includes significant experience at some of the most high-impact hotels in the world, including the openings of W Times Square and W Westwood.

Iacono brings in-depth knowledge of the Phoenix market and the national landscape, with previous roles as General Manager at the Westin Phoenix Downtown, Director of Operations at Sheraton Downtown Phoenix, and General Manager of Hotel Zaza in Dallas and the James Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ.

A natural born disruptor, Iacono is known for creating innovative and immersive hospitality concepts, like delivering champagne by drone and developing compelling lifestyle experience for after-hours guests. He now brings his disruptive style to W Scottsdale, which is fresh off a bold design renovation including a WET Deck re-fresh, the opening of the new Cottontail Lounge and Café, and debut of the hotel's AWAY Spa, featuring playful experiences like Spa After Dark and a Secret Menu exclusively accessed by VIP's.

Iacono holds a Bachelor's degree of Hotel Restaurant Management from Widener University in Pennsylvania. In his spare time he enjoys surfing, family, hockey and all things outdoors.

Todd Iacono is an alumnus of Widener University – Class of 1990.
