Jordan Swiler has been appointed as Executive Chef at Salmon Falls Resort

Jordan Swiler has been appointed executive chef for Salmon Falls Resort, an intimate full-service waterfront resort in Ketchikan, Alaska.

Swiler will oversee the culinary operations, development and programming at Salmon Falls Resort.

Prior to joining Salmon Falls Resort, Swiler served as the executive chef at Café and Bar Lurcat in Minneapolis since 2016. Previously, he helped open The Continental in Naples, Florida, where he spent two years as an executive sous-chef. Swiler started his career as a line cook and sous-chef at Café and Bar Lurcat. Throughout his career, Swiler has garnered extensive skills in culinary and hospitality management. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in food science.

Swiler is already underway with new menu items at the resort's signature restaurant, Timbers. The restaurant is a favorite gathering spot for families and couples pre- and post-outdoor adventures. The menu features an array of locally sourced Alaskan seafood and other seasonal specialties. New standout dishes include Hump Island Oysters; seafood chowder with lemon and breadcrumbs; smoked whitefish toast with cucumber, celery, fresh herbs and pickled red onion; and Alaskan salmon with warm Yukon Gold potato salad, sauteed spinach and beurre blanc.
