Juan Antonio Sánchez has been appointed as General Manager at JW Marriott Guanacaste

The JW Marriott Guanacaste is pleased to announce Juan Antonio Sánchez Paredes as its new General Manager, who has more than 28 years of experience leading hotels in Europe, Asia Pacific and South America.

In his new role, Juan Antonio will lead the recovery process of JW Marriott Guanacaste in the midst of the current health situation, supported by the strengths of the property and the destination.

Juan Antonio is of Spanish nationality. He hails from Peru, where he served as General Manager of Palacio del Inka, A Luxury Collection Hotel and prior to his current position as General Manager of AC Hotel Lima.

During his career, he has also served as General Manager of hotels in Asia, such as the Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Bali, Meliá Benoa All Inclusive Resort Bali and Gran Meliá Jakarta.

In his native Spain, he held the position of Resident Manager in properties such as Meliá P alas Atenea, Meliá Gorriones - Fuerteventura and Meliá Sitges - Barcelona.

Juan Antonio has a degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Seville. Likewise, he has taken courses in Tourism at the University of Valencia, on Hotel Revenue Management at Cornell University and Online Marketing and Sales Administration at the GADE Business School in Madrid.

He arrived in Costa Rica with his wife Vanessa and together they enjoy walks on the beach and nature, and are passionate about the local gastronomy and their club Sevilla F.C.
