Matt Skaletsky has been appointed as General Manager at Semiahmoo Resort, Golf, and Spa

Semiahmoo Resort, Golf, and Spa, a casual Northwest seaside resort surrounded by the Salish Sea and managed by Columbia Hospitality, announced today the appointment of Matt Skaletsky as general manager. He will oversee all operations at the 300-acre property, which includes a world-class golf course, a spa, meeting and event spaces and three options for dining experiences. Skaletsky is known to lead teams that consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences and exciting programming year-round.

Skaletsky brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to his new role at Semiahmoo Resort. Most recently, he held the title of general manager at Hotel Windrow, a Columbia Hospitality-managed historic hotel in Ellensburg, Wash. He began his career in the culinary mecca of Charleston, S.C., where he was ultimately named sous chef at the acclaimed Boathouse restaurant and the historic Carolina Restaurant. He then moved on to positions in hotels in the Caribbean; Washington, D.C.; San Diego; Aspen and other locations, before landing at Maui's thousand-room Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas as the director of food and beverage. Skaletsky joined Columbia Hospitality in 2019, accepting the position of general manager at The FINCH, a boutique hotel in Walla Walla, Wash.

Originally from Georgia, Skaletsky is a graduate of the prestigious hospitality program at Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, S.C. He currently resides in Birch Bay Washington, where he enjoys CrossFit, traveling and spending time with his wife Grace and their two dogs.
