Keith Cestare

Ambassador Chicago, a JDV by Hyatt Hotel, announces the appointment of Keith Cestare to general manager. Cestare brings nearly two decades of hospitality experience to his new role.

Hailing from the east coast, Cestare worked his way up in the hospitality industry, having started as a bellman followed by a stint as a front desk agent and houseman at his first hotel because he could not attain full-time hours from one sole department. According to Cestare, he quickly realized his passion and enthusiasm for the hotel business and the immense impact he could make on the lives of others.

Prior to joining Ambassador Chicago, Cestare worked for a multitude of hotel properties across the country including Boca Raton Resort and Club, LondonHouse Chicago, and The Porter Portland, Curio Collection by Hilton. Cestare notes opening LondonHouse Chicago was undoubtedly one of his proudest career moments because of the deep connections and friendships he made. Additionally, he has been trusted throughout his career to both launch and relaunch multiple Hilton hotel properties and has spent time across the American Midwest and both coasts of the United States. Cestare notes that being trusted to open a hotel as GM was when his love for the industry truly paid off.

Cestare credits an experience with one of his first general managers as being one of the most formative and memorable of his career. He describes the general manager gave him a book to read: How to Win Friends and Influence People. He read it from start to finish and began to apply its principles to his own personal and professional life. He notes there has been no single more defining factor in his development and growth than his first GM showing him that book. He said, "If you follow this book, you will be successful", and he was absolutely right, says Cestare.

Cestare is a proud east coast native who is a self-described people lover. When he's not working, he enjoys delving into his many hobbies including calisthenics, reading, and traveling to different countries and experiencing a multitude of cuisines to gain a greater understanding of the various and wonderfully unique palates of his expected guests. Fun fact about Keith: he reads about 4 books a month and specifically enjoys reading about technology trends in the hospitality industry.
