Jon McGaunn has been appointed as General Manager at Montage Palmetto Bluff

Montage Palmetto Bluff is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon McGaunn as general manager. With over two decades of hospitality industry experience, McGaunn will oversee all day-to-day operations of the resort set within the 20,000-acre development of Palmetto Bluff.

McGaunn joins Montage Palmetto Bluff from the Ritz Carlton, Naples, Florida where he served as hotel manager for the past 11 years. Previously, he served in numerous leadership roles with Ritz Carlton in Atlanta, Amelia Island, Boston, and Palm Beach and also served as General Manager of The Atlantic Hotel & Spa in Fort Lauderdale. Additional experience includes Managing Director of Genii Capital in the Palm Beach office where he oversaw a multi-million-dollar hospitality fund as well as President and Managing Director for Petters Group Worldwide in West Palm Beach, Florida where he scouted, evaluated, and introduced new sites for potential luxury developments and acquisitions of existing properties.

McGaunn received a Bachelor of Science in hospitality restaurant management from Widener University in Pennsylvania.

Jon McGaunn is an alumnus of Widener University – Class of 1992.
