Ronny Fernández has been appointed as Manager at Naviva®, A Four Seasons Resort
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts welcomes Ronny Fernández as the inaugural resort manager of Naviva®, A Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico. Set to open in November 2022, the Resort will feature 15 luxury tents nestled amidst 48 forested acres on the Riviera Nayarit's Pacific Coast. Fernández, who held ascending roles with Four Seasons since 2003, will bring the portfolio's most intimate resort to life through a high touch yet unassuming experience that encourages personal growth and self-discovery.
Over the past 19 years, Fernández has been entrusted to lead various high-stakes initiatives for Four Seasons properties including overseeing major renovation projects at Four Seasons Hotel Houston and Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica, and assisting with the opening of Four Seasons Resort Nevis. His dynamic range of capabilities and deep knowledge of the brand make Fernández an intuitive choice to debut the new Four Seasons Resort concept. Naviva®, which celebrates the intrinsic bond that humans have with nature, will benefit from Fernández's experience living in Mexico City and Punta Mita while working with Four Seasons properties in each destination. Known for heartfelt interactions with guests, his presence will enhance the Resort's uniquely unscripted and personalized experience.
Fernández started his hospitality legacy at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica, where he was hired as front office assistant manager in 2003 and was eventually promoted to assistant director of rooms in 2009 before accepting a new role at Four Seasons Mexico City in 2010. After five years in Mexico, Fernández returned to his country of origin to become the first "Tico" resort manager of Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica.
Having completed course work in hospitality management, environmental education and wildlife protection, Fernández has an excellent foundation for his new role at Naviva®, where he will oversee the Resort's exploratory experiences rooted in nature. In his free time, Fernández enjoys immersing himself in new destinations through food, history and photography and participating in water sports - he can often be found paddle boarding at sunrise.
