Camilo Bolaños has been named Senior Vice President of Development for Latin America and the Caribbean at Hyatt Hotels Corporation
Hyatt Hotels Corporation today announced the appointment of Camilo Bolaños to senior vice president of development for Latin America and the Caribbean, effective immediately. Bolaños, who previously served as vice president of real estate and development for Hyatt, is now responsible for leading Hyatt's development strategy in the Latin America and Caribbean region to drive thoughtful growth across its Timeless Collection, Boundless Collection and Independent Collection brand portfolios. He reports to Pete Sears, Hyatt's Americas group president.
To meet strategic growth goals in the Americas region, Hyatt is strengthening its development team deployment with dedicated leadership spearheading efforts across the U.S. and Canada and Latin America and the Caribbean. David Tarr, senior vice president of development for the Americas, will continue leading Hyatt's development in the U.S. and Canada. Tarr's continued leadership and dedicated focus will help bolster Hyatt's strong pipeline and growth strategy, which is experiencing extraordinary demand from the leisure segment.
In his previous role as vice president of real estate and development for the Americas, Bolaños was focused on development and strategic business planning with an emphasis on Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Bolaños joined Hyatt in 2009 and has led the development and completion of real estate transactions for more than 50 projects, continually achieving year-over-year financial development results. Bolaños is a 20-year industry veteran having held senior level positions at leading companies like Real Hotels and Resorts, Avianca Airlines and Carlson Restaurants Worldwide.
Hyatt continues growing its brands with intent in Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2022, Hyatt has announced the opening of Hotel La Compañía, the first hotel to open within The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in Panama, as well as well as Hyatt Centric San Salvador, Hyatt's first lifestyle hotel in the country, situated in the historic capital city of El Salvador
