Paul Hartmann has been appointed as General Manager at Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island

Guido Kerpel, COO of New Castle Hotels & Resorts, a leading hotel owner, operator and developer, announces the appointment of Paul Hartmann as the general manager of Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island in Jekyll Island, Ga. Hartmann has worked with New Castle Hotels & Resorts for the past six years at The Westin Jekyll Island, most recently serving as director of operations at the upscale property.

Mr. Hartmann is responsible for the overall management and operations at the oceanfront resort and for overseeing an exciting renovation that will bring a fresh and updated look and feel to the hotel. For the past 20 years the native New Yorker has worked in the hospitality industry. Before joining New Castle, he served in several roles, including front desk manager, at the 900-room Grand Hyatt Washington D.C. He also spent five years at the five-star luxury hotel The Shelbourne in Dublin, Ireland where he was the executive housekeeping manager and front desk manager. Mr. Hartmann began his career at the Hyatt Regency Boston, starting as an overnight security agent and working his way up to guest services manager.

Mr. Hartmann served in the U.S. Coast Guard for five years. He, his wife and three children are excited to welcome their fourth child soon. The family lives in St. Simons Island, Ga.
