Gregory Astima

Gregory's remit as Executive Assistant Manager of Rooms will include overseeing rooms operations, housekeeping, guest services, the Club Lounge, and the fitness centre and spa.

Prior to joining the hotel, Gregory was the Executive Assistant Manager of Rooms at The Bodrum EDITION in Turkey, where he played a crucial role in driving guest engagement and helping the hotel achieve unprecedented commercial success in terms of its budget, gross operating profit and RevPAR goals.

A passionate hotelier, Gregory has over 20 years of industry experience gleaned through working in various operational roles in gateway cities. Upon graduation from the School of Fred Scamaroni in France with an Associate Degree in Hospitality Management, Gregory joined the Sofitel Paris in 2003 as a guest services agent. His steady career progression has brought him around the world to work in properties such as the boutique Hotel Saint James & Albany as Assistant Front Office Manager, The Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort as Assistant Executive Housekeeper, and the Le Méridien Beach Plaza in Monaco as Front Office Manager. In 2014, he joined the Sheraton Grand Dubai's pre-opening team as Front Office Manager and in 2016, became the Director of Rooms at The Sofitel Shanghai Hyland. He moved to the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa as Director of Rooms in 2018.

Armed with a recreational flying license, Gregory is also an automotive enthusiast, and a foodie at heart. He spends his free time in the great outdoors, cycling and trekking.
