Kevin Lalli

Kevin Lalli has been appointed Executive Chef for Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square, as announced by General Manager Karla Erales.

Prior to returning to Sofitel, Chef Lalli was the executive chef for Prime 25 in Colorado Springs, Colorado beginning in September of 2021. During his time at the high-end steakhouse, he increased sales by 25%.

Chef Lalli was the executive chef for Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette square from April of 2018 until the spring of 2021. He oversaw the opening and daily operation of Opaline Bar & Brasserie, in-room dining and banquets while managing a team of 25.

Previously, Chef Lalli was the traveling corporate executive chef for Barcelona Wine Bar in DC from 2016 until 2018. He was responsible for nine restaurants in three regions.

A graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, he earned an Associate in Applied Sciences, Culinary Arts Degree.

A native of Newport, Rhode Island, Chef Lalli's fondest childhood memories took place while cooking with his mother, a hobby that blossomed into a celebrated culinary career.
