Kai Fischer has been appointed as General Manager at B Resort & Spa

B Resort & Spa, located in the Disney Springs® Resort Area in Orlando, today announced the appointment of Kai Fischer as general manager, effective immediately. An industry veteran with over 30 years of hospitality experience, Fischer will oversee all aspects of the resort - including operations, sales, marketing and food & beverage - alongside the resort's management company, Performance Hospitality Management.

Throughout his career, Fischer has served in various hospitality leadership positions at prominent hotel and resort properties on the East Coast. After graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, he started his career by opening the Marriott Castle Harbour Bermuda as the food and beverage complex manager. Since that time, Fischer has worked his way up through numerous operational, sales and general manager positions at Marriott International, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Hilton Worldwide.

Prior to his new role, Fischer served as the general manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa Westshore. Fischer led the repositioning of the 492-room hotel to be the provider of the area's largest hotel and meeting space. Before leading DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa Westshore, Fischer pioneered the transformation of the Ocean Place Beach Resort & Spa into a luxury beachfront resort destination that rivals the reputations of national brands. He modernized the facilities to include new technology that enhanced guest communication, remodeled food and beverage operations through training and cost controls and improved operational staffing to maximize efficiency and positive guest experiences.

Moreover, Fischer served as the general manager of Hilton Aventura Miami, a AAA Four-Diamond hotel located in the bustling heart of South Florida. In that position, he was part of the opening team for the luxurious Virtuoso-preferred property, which ranked in the Top 10 Miami Beach Resorts by Travel + Leisure magazine for its unique and creative approach to customer service. Previously, Fischer served as the multi-property director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he played an instrumental role in the $180 million renovation of the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel.

As general manager of B Resort & Spa, Fischer will be responsible for guaranteeing an outstanding guest experience. His visionary leadership will guide strategic communications and guest connections, with the goal of delivering an exceptional lodging experience that drives financial success. Fischer will continue the momentum of B Resort & Spa's reputation as a premier family-friendly Orlando theme-park-area accommodation option.
