Jesper Soerensen has been appointed as General Manager at SO/ Maldives

Jesper will be responsible for overseeing the pre-opening of SO/ Maldives, which is set to open in Q4 2023 and will also drive the overall resort strategy, bringing the SO/ brand experiences of avant-garde design, playful luxury, and fashion to the Maldives.

Jesper has an impressive background in the hospitality industry, working with some of the fast-growing, multi-cultural and international luxury brands in the world including urban hotels, beach resorts and luxury private island resorts.

Before rejoining SO/ Maldives, Jesper was at The Standard, Maldives where he has been the General Manager for the last three years. Prior to that, he was at Six Senses Singapore. Jesper started his career in food & beverage with Alan Yau at Hakkasan group and later joined Morgans Hotel Group at the iconic Sanderson and St Martin's Lane Hotel, London. He later moved to Miami where he was the General Manager at the Shore Club for several years.

Jesper's extensive experience in the hospitality industry, coupled with his passion for beach and luxury travel, makes him an excellent choice to lead the SO/ Maldives team.
