Barthélemy Bauters, hailing from the North of France, moved to Provence to assume the reins at Capelongue, a part of the Beaumier group. This latest step is yet another milestone in the adventure-laden professional journey of this dynamic leader who has roamed the world extensively.

Kicking off his career as Bar Manager at the Sofitel Queenstown Hotel and Spa in New Zealand, Bauters remained within the Sofitel group, steadily progressing through various roles to grasp the unique demands of each outlet and foster a close bond with his team.

From a Management Trainee at Sofitel Wanda Beijing in China to Maître d'Hôtel at Sofitel la Ora Beach Resort in French Polynesia, from Restaurant Manager at Sofitel Gold Coast in Australia to Food and Beverage Director in Thailand and Hungary, Bauters has a rich portfolio of international experience.

This extensive experience lends immense value to his role as a General Manager and underscores his strong, knowledgeable leadership. After a brief tenure in Switzerland at the W in Verbier, Bauters revisited Asia, with stints in Thailand and Vietnam, before ultimately returning to Europe. Now, he aspires to face new challenges within the Beaumier group, drawn to the collection's unique hotels and the group's overall philosophy. After joining as General Manager of Fitz Roy in Val Thorens in 2022, he now steps into his new role in Provence, ready to put his expertise to work at Capelongue.
