Patrick O’Connell has been appointed as CEO, UK operations at B&B HOTELS

B&B HOTELS has [today] announced the appointment Patrick O'Connell as the new CEO of its UK operations as the European value-for-money hotel chain progresses its growth ambitions to open 100 new hotels in the UK by 2035.

Patrick O'Connell brings over 30 years' experience in the hospitality industry, covering operations, major investment programmes, hotel openings and acquisitions. He has held senior management positions in the UK and Ireland with Doyle Collection, Mint Hotels and Hilton. Most recently, he was Head of Hotels at Queensgate Investments.

With nearly 700 hotels in 16 countries, B&B HOTELS is well known across Europe, Brazil and the US for its differentiated high-quality offer and is recognised as the top budget hotel operator across several European countries including number one in Italy, number two in Germany and Spain, and number three in France.

The leadership appointment comes as the UK team commences investment and delivery into the UK market, and B&B HOTELS seeks to partner with existing hotel owners, developers, landowners, funds and real estate owners to deliver its expansion plans.
