Bre Smith has been promoted to General Manager at The Georgian
The Georgian is pleased to announce the promotion of Bre Smith to General Manager at the landmark hotel. The new role follows the restoration and re-opening of the iconic oceanfront property in April 2023, where Smith first joined the team as Director of Operations.
Bre joined the 84-key property with over 15 years of experience in hospitality and management, with a special focus on art, creativity, service. Her exceptional contributions have proven pivotal in the successful realization of eight hotel openings, ranging from their conception to launch.
Her hospitality journey began in 2004 while attending Loyola Marymount University. Her tenure at The Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey marked the beginning of her flourishing career in Hospitality. During her time with the Ritz-Carlton, Smith worked across properties spanning Palm Beach, Vegas, Boston, San Francisco, Abu Dhabi, Maui, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico. She served as Director of Restaurants at the Beverly Hilton, the Director of Guest Relations at the Ambassador Chicago, the Hollywood Roosevelt, and later the Corporate Director of Guest Services at Triumph Hotels in New York. Most recently, Bre was the Director of Food and Beverage at Soho House Chicago.
In addition to her extensive industry background, Smith is a gifted, self-taught painter with a number of exhibitions under her belt. Her artistic sensibilities seamlessly interweave with her role as a hospitality executive, manifesting in the creation of unforgettable experiences for discerning guests.
Her work can be viewed at Teterboro Airport, NYC and at hotels such as the Ritz-Carlton, Loews Santa Monica, and recently The Renwick, New York City. She was asked to be a part of the 150th Celebration for Bloomingdale's this past September, created an installation for Amass spirits, major design firms in LA, and a street piece on Melrose Blvd in the Fairfax District of LA in collaboration with Wrdsmth. In April 2021, Smith created an artist studio & residence inside the iconic Ambassador Chicago. She donates her art to support charities throughout the country. She was accepted into the Artist Residence in France at Chateau Orquevaux, which she attended in October 2022. In June 2023, Smith hosted a solo exhibition of her work at Gallery 33, The Georgian's state-of-the-art exhibition and event space.
