Taj Hotel and Convention Centre Agra has appointed Mr. Rajesh Chakraborty as its new General Manager, an accomplished leader in the hospitality industry with over 26 years of experience within the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL). Mr. Chakraborty has held pivotal positions in various hotels in India and internationally, showcasing his ability to excel in competitive markets.
Before joining Taj Hotel and Convention Centre Agra, he served as the General Manager of Vivanta By Taj Aurangabad Maharashtra, where his strategic vision and leadership contributed significantly to the property's success. His prior role as General Manager at The Gateway Hotel Pasumalai in Madurai further demonstrated his adeptness in diverse management environments.
Mr. Chakraborty holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from Kolkata Catering College (1997), a Bachelor of Hotel Management from Annamalai University, Chennai (2008), and a Masters in Personal Management from Dr. Babasaheb Marathwada University Aurangabad, Maharashtra (2020).
His journey in the hospitality industry began with The Oberoi Group, where he started in the F&B team and progressed through various roles.
