André Aparício

W Hotels has appointed André Aparício, who has extensive professional experience in the sector, as its new manager for Colombia and for its Bogota headquarters.

Thus, the W Bogota hotel, with its avant-garde design, cocktail culture and inspiration from the legend of El Dorado, which are reflected in every corner of this renowned hotel, has in Aparício an expert who will take it to the next level in terms of service and customer experience.

Aparício states that the W Bogota hotel stands out for the unique narrative, design, culinary and wellness offerings, which go hand in hand with the excellence in service and hospitality of the Colombian culture, without losing the bold and creative essence of the W brand.

Aparício adds that Colombia stands out in the region for its resilience and institutional solidity, accompanied by the entrepreneurship, innovation, and strength of its people, which makes it attractive for both business travel and tourism.

André arrives in the country's capital after more than a decade of experience in the sector in different activities as food and beverage director and director of operations in several countries, including Brazil, Spain, Mexico, and Portugal, where he is originally from.

In August 2021, André accepted the challenge of joining W Bogota, as director of operations where he was for one year and stood out as leader of the project to open The Café, the first gastronomic space in Colombia with an offer of preparations with Nespresso products located inside the hotel and popular among local visitors.

The new manager of the W Bogota hotel holds a degree in hotel management from the University of Algarve (Portugal) and has several specialty courses, including Hospitality Management 360 and Revenue Management from Cornell University in the United States. He also completed courses in F&B Management and Finance for non-Financial Managers at Hotelschool The Hague (The Netherlands).
